Lady Bulldogs Take Down SUNO in Striaght Sets

Tougaloo, Miss. - The Tougaloo College Lady Bulldogs played host to conference foe Southern University of New Orleans on today. The Lady Bulldogs defeated the Lady Knights in straight sets (25-23, 25-12, 25-21).

After a horrible performance against Xavier University on Monday night, the Lady Bulldogs revamped to get back on the winning side of things. The Lady Bulldogs attacked the Lady Knights from the jump and never looked back; taking down the Lady Knights in sraight sets. For the first time in the program's history, the Lady Bulldogs completed a season sweep of the Lady Knights and in good fashion; straight sets in both meetings.

Carolyne Edwards and Megan Besecker led the Lady Bulldogs with 10 kills apiece. Alexandra Jwainat had 22 assists. Kayla Cole led the defense with 23 digs followed by Taylor Kangethe with 10 digs. The Lady Bulldogs return to action on Monday as they host Dillard University in their final conference match of the season. First whistle is set for 6:00 P.M.
