Lady Bulldogs Complete Season Sweep of Philander Smith

Tougaloo, Miss. - On the verge of the longest win streak in program history, the Lady Bulldogs completes season sweep of Philander Smith College with a straight sets (25-16, 25-18, 25-22) win on tonight.

Much like their first meeting on September 1st, the Lady Bulldogs eased past Philander Smith in straight sets with no problems. The win ties the longest win streak in program history at 6 and puts the Lady Bulldogs at 10-6 overall, 5-2 GCAC.

Megan Besecker led the Lady Bulldogs with 13 kills. Kristin Rice followed with 9 kills. Kayla Cole led the defense with 26 digs followed by Rice's 10 digs. Alexandra Jwainat had 20 assists. The Lady Bulldogs will be back in action on Wednesday as they travel to New Orleans, La in hopes of a season sweep of Loyola University. First whistle is set for 6:00 p.m.
