STUDENT-ATHELTES EXCEL IN THE CLASSROOM DURING THE 2021-2022 ACADEMIC YEAR
Tougaloo, Miss. - Not only did the Tougaloo College student-athletes compete on the playing surface, they set the standard in the classroom as well.
In the spring 2022 semester, over 40 student-athletes attained a 3.0 grade point average. To be exact, 43 student-athletes earned at least a 3.0 GPA with 9 student-athletes earning a 4.0 GPA. Those student-athletes were:

- Kayelyn Salley (SR/Tampa, FL)
- Morgan Hunter
- Tniniyah Jones (JR/Sallis, Miss.)
- Kristi Marshall (SR/Taylorsville, Miss.)
- Morgan Williams (JR/Canton, Miss.)
- Christian Borders (SO/Terry, MS)
Collectively, Tougaloo College student-athletes combined for a 2.78 grade point average for the Spring 2022 semester. With 8 teams being counted including cheer and dance, 5 teams earned at least a 2.8 GPA for Spring 2022 led by Women's Cross Country (3.20) and Dance (3.10). Those teams were followed by Baseball (2.98), Women's Basketball (2.94) and Cheer (2.85).
Overall for the 2021-2022 academic year, Tougaloo College student-athletes maintained a 3.03 grade point average with 49 student-athletes earning at least a 3.0 grade point average and 24 graduates. Of those 49 student-athletes, 3 maintained a perfect 4.0 grade point average. Those student-athletes were:

For the 2021-2022 academic year, 7 of the 8 programs included maintained at least a 2.8 grade point average with 3 programs earning at least a 3.0 grade point average.
