Juan Gray had 12 points in the Bulldogs 69-67 loss to the Tornadoes.
Men's Basketball - Sat, Feb. 9, 2013

Talladega, AL-The Tougaloo College Men's Basketball team traveled to Talladega, AL to take on the Tornadoes of Talladega College in a conference rematch.  The Bulldogs would let the rematch slip out of their hands as they would drop a 69-67 decision to the Tornadoes to fall to 6-14, 4-6 GCAC.

The Bulldogs were looking to continue their winning ways in Talladega, as they were hoping to get the win over the Tornadoes tonight.  The Bulldogs came out very strong and aggressive in the first half, shooting a fantastic 55% from the field and 50% from the arc.  This great percentage led to a 38-28 halftime edge over the Tornadoes.  In the second half, the Bulldogs would not shoot so great, and the Tornadoes would capitalize on it.  The Bulldogs only shot 27% from the field and 38% from the arc, compared to the Tornadoes 42% from the field in the second half.

With 2:30 left in the game, the Bulldogs would have a 67-62 lead over the Tornadoes, but the Tornadoes would score 7 unanswered points to take a 69-67 lead.  With the Bulldogs having the last shot, Juan Gray would attempt the game-winning three-pointer, but it would rim out and the Tornadoes would escape with the victory.

Kadon Day, in his return back to the court, led the Bulldogs with 21 points and 11 rebounds.  Gray and Denzel Hardy both finished with 12 points apiece.  The Bulldogs will be back in action on Monday as they travel to Jacksonville, FL to take on the Tigers of Edward Waters College.  Tip-off is set for 7:30 P.M.
