Tougaloo, Miss. - The Tougaloo College Lady Bulldogs hosted the Lady Tigers of Edward Waters College seeking revenge after their first meeting in both teams' season openers where the Lady Tigers escaped with a 3-2 win over the Lady Bulldogs.  This time, the tables turned and it was the Lady Bulldogs that walked away with a 3-1 win.

On a 4-game win streak, the Lady Bulldogs went into today's match looking to extend its win streak and get revenge on the Lady Tigers.  In their first meeting on August 25th in Jacksonville, the Lady Bulldogs went up 2-0 on the Lady Tigers before they came back to defeat the Lady Bulldogs in five sets.  In this meeting in the Dawg Pound, the Lady Bulldogs once again went up 2-0 with 25-17 and 25-15 set wins.  With the match on the line, the Lady Tigers fought back to take third set 25-13.  In the fourth set, the Lady Bulldogs proved to be too much for the Lady Tigers with a 25-17 set victory to win the match 3-1.

Megan Besecker led the Lady Bulldogs with 10 kills followed by Jessica Porter with 7 kills.  Kayla Cole led the defense with 19 digs.  Alexandra Jwainat had 31 assists for the Lady Bulldogs.  The Lady Bulldogs will be back in action on Monday as they continue conference play against Philander Smith.  First whistle is set for 6:00 p.m.
