Tougaloo, Miss. - The Gulf Coast Athletic Conference announced its Players of the Week on Tuesday morning.  Christopher Wallace has been named GCAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played from Dec. 11 - Dec 18.

Wallace, a junior from Jackson, Miss., scored a career-high 33 points along with seven rebounds and two steals in the Bulldogs' win over LeMoyne Owen.  He tied his season's best with six made three-pointers, and made at least nine free throws in a game for the fourth time this year.  Wallace ranks in the top 10 nationally in 3-pt FG made per game, scoring average (23.5), total scoring (258), and total three-pointers made (41).

This is his first Player of the Week award this season.

Patrick Thompson posted 16 points and nine rebounds for Dillard against Stillman College...Edward Waters guard Charles-Eddie Smith averaged 17 points and 3.5 rebounds in two games last week...Philander Smith's Christopher Ward had 19 points and 8 rebounds against Paul Quinn College...Xavier freshman guard Donovan Armstrong scored a team-high 12 points on 6-of-8 shooting against No. 22 Loyola (La.).
