Memphis, Tenn. - The Tougaloo College Bulldogs traveled the Memphis to participate in the 6th Annual Memphis HBCU Classic.  The Bulldogs split in the classic, losing to Concordia College Alabama 76-70 on Friday and bouncing back to take a 73-70 victory on Miles on Saturday.

On Friday against Concordia College Alabama, the Bulldogs were looking to rebound off of a 2-game losing skid.  The Bulldogs started strong, but allowed the Hornets to climb back in the game late in the first half and the score was tied at 28 at the half.  In the second half, the Bulldogs struggled offensively, especially at the free throw line which caused the Bulldogs a 76-70 loss to the Hornets.  The Bulldogs missed 14 free throws on the night for 64% from the line and shot a poor 38% from the field compared to the Hornets' 44% from the field.  The Hornets also outrebounded the Bulldogs 36-32.

Christopher Wallace led the Bulldogs with 28 points and Andravious Smith followed with 25 points and 12 rebounds.

On Saturday, the Bulldogs were searching for a much needed win against Miles College.  In the two schools first meeting, the Bulldogs trailed the Golden Bears in the first half, who held a 36-32 halftime edge over the Bulldogs.  In the second half, the Bulldogs gained momentum late in the half and took the lead from the Golden Bears and held on to take a 73-70 victory over the Golden Bears to advance to 4-3 on the season.  

Christopher Wallace led the Bulldogs with 27 points and Andravious Smith followed with 19 points and 14 rebounds.  The Bulldogs will return to action on Tuesday, November 28th as they are back on the road to Shreveport, LA to take on #24 LSU Shreveport.  Tip-off is set for 7:00 P.M.
